I work from
photographs; and if possible, I prefer to take my own photos
so I can meet and get a feel for each individual pet. If you
live somewhat close by, I can go to your house or you and your
pet can visit my studio. There is no charge for taking my own
photographs, but I will charge a travel expense if you live
farther than 30 miles from my studio.
If we can not arrange for me to take photos, I will work from
your submitted photos. I will need around 4 or 5 closeups,
clear photos to work from. Even if there is one specific photo
you would like the portrait done from, I would still like to
see other pictures so I can get a sense of your pet's personality.
Remember, if I don't get to meet your pet, the only information
I have to work with is the photos you provide. Accurate and
clear photos minimally tell me what color the eyes and coat
are and ideally should convey some expression or mood. I will
return all your photos with the completed portrait - I know
how important photos are, especially if your pet has passed
away.

BACKGROUNDS
Backgrounds vary and I usually
make the decision about the background based on what works
best for each particular painting. I make that decision as
I am creating the painting, but if you have a definite idea
you would like, please let me know in advance.

DELIVERY
Delivery of pet portraits will be arranged on a case by case basis. Portraits
can be shipped anywhere worldwide. Please call for prices.
COPYRIGHT
I retain the copyright on all artwork and my written consent is required for
my artwork to be used for any financial gain.
